Blue and White Swirl Lake Erie Marble Wire Wrapped Pendant
Blue and White Swirl Lake Erie Marble Wire Wrapped Pendant
If you are familiar with beach glassing as a hobby, you know that marbles are a big deal and a very rare find. This is a marble I found at Sims Park in Euclid. The marble has bonfire characteristics with a frosted, round face and a twisted, incomplete back. It is one of maybe six marbles I have found and is possibly the most beautiful. It was cleaned but is presented otherwise unaltered, wrapped in silver plated copper hypoallergenic wire. It comes with a filled silver plated chain.
About my glass and fossil pendants:
For a piece of Lake Erie glass to get so smooth, it must be tossed around in the surf for a minimum of 20-40 years. Some pieces in my collection are hundreds of years old and my fossils are mostly more than 200 million years old.
These pendants are handmade with pliable wire. I am a learning artist, which means you may observe tiny imperfections. This is why my work is offered at the current price, which is lower than the market value. If your wire gets caught and pulls, I am happy to try and fix it or rewrap it (just reach out).
Care: If your fossil pendant loses its depth of color, you can carefully rub mineral oil on it with a cotton swab or soak it in mineral oil for a few minutes then wipe clean. The glass pendants can be cleaned with mild soap if they become dirty. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Finding and designing with glass is a wonderful personal outlet for me. If you are neurodivergent (I have ADHD), consider glass finding as a hobby - it’s a dopamine generating treasure hunt. What would make me overjoyed would be to know that you get enjoyment out of what I’ve made. Thank you!
